Melasti Beach Kecak, an alternative for Kecak dance

For travelers seeking an authentic Balinese cultural experience, the Kecak dance at Uluwatu Temple has long been a cherished tradition. However, the popularity of this iconic performance has made securing tickets a challenge, with many shows selling out fast. Fear not, for an enchanting alternative awaits just a stone’s throw away.
Nestled nearby, Melasti Beach offers a fresh take on the Kecak dance experience. While it may not boast the dramatic clifftop backdrop of Uluwatu, Melasti Beach sets the stage for an equally mesmerizing evening. As the sun gracefully descends on the horizon, you can witness the Kecak dancers tell their captivating stories against the backdrop of the sea. The rhythmic chants and vibrant costumes remain just as captivating, creating a unique ambiance that’s hard to replicate.
Melasti Beach’s more relaxed and beachfront setting provides a different, yet equally magical experience. Whether the guest missed out on Uluwatu Temple tickets or simply desire to witness this traditional art form in an alternative location, the Kecak dance at Melasti Beach promises to be a memorable cultural encounter.
Vistara and Indigo Airlines Prepare to Commence Direct Flights to Bali from India

In a significant development for Indonesian tourism, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, has unveiled plans for the introduction of direct flight routes from India to Bali. Notably, this endeavor will be facilitated by two renowned Indian airlines, Vistara and Indigo Airlines.
Minister Sandiaga emphasized the strong appeal of Bali to Indian tourists, underpinned by shared cultural affinities, the breathtaking natural beauty of the island, and the perceived safety and comfort it offers. Of particular note, a significant portion of Indian travelers to Bali are drawn by the desire to celebrate matrimonial occasions in this picturesque destination.
Highlighting the current absence of direct flights connecting India and Bali, Sandiaga stated in his recent press briefing, “There are currently no direct flights from India to Bali. However, Indian tourists are the second largest cohort, trailing only Australians, to explore the charms of Bali.” This underscores the demand for more convenient connectivity between the Indian subcontinent and Bali.
According to reports from Kompas, Vistara is set to launch its direct service, operating the route from Delhi to Denpasar, commencing from December 1.
While there haven’t been official announcements from Indigo regarding direct flights between India and Bali, it’s worth noting that Indigo already offers connecting flights between Mumbai and Jakarta in a round-trip route, a service inaugurated in August 2023.
