Further East: 6-9 November 2023

Secret Comedy Night – Eat, Pray, Laugh (Live in Ubud): 10 November 2023
Named by Coconuts as “Bali’s coolest comedy experience”, this hilarious and carefully curated stand up comedy show takes place at a secret location in Ubud (Bali) and features an exciting mix of comics as seen on Netflix, Showtime & Comedy Central. This is Bali’s only curated stand-up comedy show.
Why is it a secret? All past shows have sold out resulting in having to sadly turn away many people at the door. Hence, the location now is a secret and the online sales stop once capacity is reached.

Lee Burridge at Savaya: 11 November

Tumpek Wayang: 25 November
Cultural upcoming event on November is Tumpek Wayang, it’s a Balinese Hindu holiday and ritual dedicated to the blessings and protection of shadow puppets, known as “wayang kulit.” The wayang kulit is an integral part of Balinese culture and is used in traditional performances, particularly during religious ceremonies and cultural events.
Wayang kulit is a traditional Balinese art form that involves the use of intricately crafted leather puppets. These puppets, often made from buffalo hide, are meticulously designed and intricately painted, bringing to life characters from Hindu epics like the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, as well as local stories and legends. Behind a translucent screen, a dalang (puppeteer) manipulates the puppets while narrating stories, accompanied by gamelan music.
